Welcome to Primi Passi

Welcome to Primi Passi Nursery School where we provide your child with a successful and well established approach to pre school education.

At Primi Passi your child will be exposed to the Italian Language through our carefully selected Italian mother tongue teachers. The various daily activities help develop the children physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.

As well as teaching the fundamentals of the Italian language through various games which include stories, songs, creative and imaginative play, we ensure all the necessary academic and social skills to prepare your child to move on to preparatory school in Italy or England equally.

Our Mission

Primi Passi is a bilingual Italian/English nursery school. We encourage the children, teachers and parents to be lifelong learners and work together in the spirit of collaboration and mutual understanding.

Bilingual education is an enriched model of education where two languages and two cultures meet to create a unique quality school experience.Children who have been educated through such a model will be able to function in two languages and in two or more cultures and will be better prepared to face up to the demands of the modern society.

Our aim is to develop caring, empathetic skills in children through an international bilingual education.

We prepare our children for the English preparatory school and for the Italian "scuola elementare".

We teach in Italian and we follow the early years foundation stage in an environment which promotes critical thinking skills, international and intercultural awareness while committing to ongoing assessment and self evaluation.

Who is this for?

Bilingual education is a model for the "international community child", for every child of pre-school age and up, regardless of his/her nationality, linguistic or cultural background.

It is a model for the "bilingual family" child who will benefit not only from the maintenance and development of his/her mother tongue, but will also made proud and confident of his/her dual identity and culture.
